Meet the KR-030 Topaz
The KR-030 Topaz aeroplane is an important chapter in the history of the development of our designs. Although this machine set new standards, it is no longer in Ekolot's current production catalogue.

Designed to delight
Meet the KR-030 Topaz
Comfortable – Economical – Safe – Elegant.
Spin-resistant high-wing aircraft with a side-by-side seating arrangement. Monocoque-based structure, made entirely of carbon and glass fabrics.
The used NN-1817 airfoil provides very good and safe flight characteristics. The low stall speed and lack of tendency to enter a spin forgive many mistakes made by inexperienced pilots. In addition, this airfoil is insensitive to contamination and rainfall.
Comprehensive equipment
customisable
The comfortable 120 cm wide cabin easily accommodates a 195 cm tall pilot. The ergonomic layout of the instrument panel and all levers and switches ensures comfortable aircraft piloting even on long flights in difficult conditions, while the two-axis autopilot takes over on the route and allows you a moment of rest.
Standard equipment can be enhanced with a range of additional options providing extra safety and user comfort.

Rotax 915 UL/ULS/IS
Attached to the hull on a stainless steel frame via shock absorbers. The carbon engine cowlings feature Camm-lock type quick-release fasteners.
Cabin equipment
Centrally positioned control stick, comfortable seats, contoured with adjustable backrests.
Nesis III cockpit glass
Equipment includes a sunlight-readable Kanardia Nesis III Glass Cockpit with a display 8.4 inches” and EMS and PFD functions. Integrated navigation enables flexible flight plan planning and uploading.

Comfort and safety by the KR-030 Topaz standard
The controls are actuated by a system of push-rods and torque tubes. Pitch and roll control are via a central control column located between the seats. Yaw control is via two sets of pedals (in front of the left and right seats). Flap and elevator trim control are electric, via two sets of switches on the control column grip. Main wheel brake control is via a lever on the control column. Engine control (throttle) is via levers on the cabin sidewalls of the aircraft.
