Meet the JK-05L Junior
The JK-05L Junior aircraft is an important chapter in the history of the development of our designs. Although this machine set new standards, it is no longer in Ekolot's current production catalogue.

Designed with care
about every detail
The JK-05 JUNIOR is a braced high-wing aircraft. All main airframe assemblies have a shell structure made of glass or carbon fibre-based composites. The fuselage, in the form of a monocoque shell locally stiffened with 3D material, houses a two-seat side-by-side cockpit in the front section.
Cabin width 1.2 m. The shell is technologically divided into two symmetrical halves with reinforcements, and an integrated floor-luggage compartment panel, bonded during the assembly of the halves.
Comfort and safety
The flight controls are driven by a system of push-rods and torque tubes. Elevator and aileron control is via a central control stick located between the seats. Rudder control is via two sets of pedals (in front of the left and right seats). Flap and elevator trim control are electric, via two sets of buttons on the control stick grip. Main wheel brake control is via a lever on the control stick. Engine control (throttle) is via levers on the cockpit side panels. Mixture control (choke) is via a lever on the left side of the instrument panel.

ROTAX 912 UL
Mounted on a steel frame with rubber shock absorbers. The three-bladed Aero-Sail propeller (1.72 m) has a ground-adjustable pitch. The fluid temperature is regulated by a thermostat.
strutted high-wing monoplane
Wings above the line of sight provide excellent downward visibility. This makes terrain orientation, navigation, and full control during landing much easier.
Cabin equipment
Two shell-structure seats made of fibreglass and carbon-fibre reinforced composites (upholstery colour to be agreed). Two sets of safety belts. Side air intakes.

Innovative solutions combined with advanced technique
The vertical stabiliser is integrated with the fuselage. The tricycle landing gear features cantilever, composite main legs with shared braking and a steerable nose wheel coupled with the rudder (optionally in laminated fairings).
Rectangular, strut-braced sandwich-construction wings feature a tapered section near the fuselage to improve visibility. The NN-1817 aerofoil section used (proven in the PW-5 „SMYK” glider) ensures superb aerodynamics and resistance to leading-edge contamination.
Along the entire span, a carbon-composite slotted flaperon is suspended on five brackets, ensuring high rigidity and low mass (protection against flutter). It is actuated near the fuselage, meaning the interior of the wing does not require complex mechanisms.
